Why, look who that is with Jenna and her dad. Looking just like he did for his cameo in Camp.
Jenna has been a huge Stephen Sondheim fan all her life. She like to have died when he agreed to meet her. Fortuitously, it took a couple of phone calls to set up the meeting, so by the time we actually met him she could keep it together. We chatted during intermission, and he's as sweet a guy as you could want.
As we returned from intermission, we saw that he was just sitting in the back next to the lighting board, so when the show was over we all turned around and applauded in his direction too.
