The view from my room at Hotel The Ellcy, Machida. Note the clever use of both the definite article (which doesn't exist in Japanese), and not just one but two ells (neither of which exist in Japanese) to lend an international flair to this hotel which makes most of its money by hosting Japanese weddings.
As for the view, I like the juxtaposition of modern parking structures with classic Japanese tile-roof architecture. I'm sure that was done for aesthetic reasons only.
